Referees shortage - help wanted!
We are facing another drought. Victoria has insufficient referees and touch judges to cover all games. There is the very real possibility that games may need to be cancelled if referees cannot be found.
If anyone would like to help out in some way, think about volunteering as a referee, or even as a Touch Judge. Training is provided through VRU run courses, (which SKCRA will pay for).
You might be a senior student, an older sibling or a parent. Some understanding of the game would be valued, but long experience is not necessary. You would need to fairly fit, as running around the field is necessary.
If you are new to rugby and becoming a referee seems too much, learning to be a Touch Judge is an easier step.
