SKC Year 7 Gold vs Melbourne Grammar
SKC co
nvincingly beat Melbourne Grammar, comfortably dominating in an away game. The end score was 46-12, despite the fact that a lot of the players had just got back, from camp, the Friday before the match.
The ground was damp from the morning dew. Surprisingly, SKC seemed to have glue on their hands and didn’t drop the ball. As the morning progressed, the sun came out and the ground quickly dried. This made running easier and more tries were scored.
Our try scorers were Oliver Roberts (5), Felix Mason (1), Luke O’Hara (1) and Harrison Fawcett (1). All Oliver’s tries began from a great distance, bulldozing the opposition as he moved forward. Felix’s try was from past half-way. He side-stepped the opposition until they were dizzy. Luke’s try was scored when he began, from a great distance, running into space while fending off the opposition, who weren’t scared of his size. Harrison’s try was scored as a result of his general agility and great team work.
SKC should congratulate Harrison Fawcett and Luke O’Hara on scoring of their first tries and the flankers who, yet again, had to go off because of the opposition did not have enough players.
