This year our annual presidents lunch is on early: 10th May at the Smith Hall at the school. Nick Farr-Jones is our Guest and Speaker.

The lunch follows the 1st XV match vs Geelong Grammar School which will kick off at about 11am, so the lunch should start at approx 12:45.

The President of SKCRA, Paul de Guingand, extends a cordial invitation to members of the St.Kevin’s Rugby community, their friends and associates to join us for this special event.
Paul said “Our annual President’s Lunch is the main fundraising activity of the Association with funds raised used for the development of rugby for the young men of the school.  Over the past ten years the luncheon has grown from humble beginnings to one which is attended by in excess of 200 people and is widely regarded as a significant feature of the VSRU calendar.”
Such has been its success that in 2008 we have been able to attract Nick Farr-Jones as a Guest Speaker and VRU President Gary Gray as MC and auctioneer.

Captain of the team which brought home the Rugby Union World Cup in 1991, the 1992 Bledisloe Cup and which convincingly defeated the Springboks in August 1992, Nick was Australia’s most capped scrum half and its most capped captain (36 successive tests for the Australian team from 1988 to 1992).
Nick is very much an ambassador for Rugby Union, as evidenced by the AM he was awarded in 1992.
