U/16 St.Kevins A vs Melbourne Grammar School
St. Kevin’s College turned up to a wet saturday game vs Melbourne Grammar School at Fawkner park. The team knew that it would be a forwards orientated game so maintaining possession was vital.
The first half Melbourne Grammar dominated possesion with St.Kevin’s barely touching the ball and they capitalized on every oppurtunity, scoring a try under the posts. St. Kevins struck back and scored a try off a penalty with the ball being passed out wide to Deane Phillips who dived for the line.
Due to a Melbourne Grammar injury both teams had to change ovals. At the end of the first half the score was 7-5 to Melbourne Grammar. The rest of the second half was the same as the first with Melbourne Grammar dominating possession. The end result was a disappointing loss, with St.Kevins going down 7-5.
