SKC Year 8 Gold Vs St Patrick’s College Ballarat Sat 31st May
Despite getting on their bus at 6am from Ballarat, the boys from St Pat’s proved tough competition, as they do every season. In a closer game than is reflected in the score line, St Pat’s engaged in exciting open play, and aggressive mauling. The decision to take on the defensive line by Oliver Roberts, Tom Hansen and John Wallace created many an opportunity, and thankfully SKC were able to capitalize.
Low body height on our try line also saw classic front row and back row tries scored by Vincent Woolfe, who had the game of his season, and Luke O’Hara. Poor pillar post defense saw two St Pat’s tries being scored, but the defense of Felix Mason and Nathan Mitchener halted any further advance.
Paul Hoy coverted 4 tries into additional points for SKC with the final score of 36-12 to the home side.
