On Saturday the 9th of August, St Kevins College dominated the carnvial at Xavier College, to provide a clean sweep of Rugby within the VSRU competition.

In the Grand Final on Saturday at Xavier College, the SKC 1st XV defeated Scotch College 1st XV, 18 to 12. (More details of the matches of the day, and photos to come later). 

At the same Finals Carnival, our 2nd XV defeated Scotch College 2nd XV 19 to 8, showing outstanding depth of talent for SKC.

While not classed as a Grand Final, our U/16 A team beat MGS to finish on top of the ladder, winning 8 to 5, showing the talent pool coming through.

The prior week our U/15s also finished the year on top of the table, defeating BGS in a nail-biter 22 to 19.

Our junior teams do not play to ladders, however our U/13 team finished the season undefeated, and our two U/14 even teams, the “Bush Babies” and the “Fluffy bunnies”, had great seasons, and won more than they lost.

These results all point to a positive future for SKC Rugby, with compelling victories in the older teams, and the younger teams being competitive and enthusiastic. What a great measure of the health and spirit of SKC rugby!
